Go behind the scenes of the the independent feature film "Farewell Darkness" directed by Daniel Pico.  Follow the crew and cast on a remarkable journey while creating a document of the early 2000's during the Iraq war, the George W. Bush presidency.  We wanted to explore things that people were talking about like PTSD, and the high rate of suicide amongst veterans.  To me it was a decade marked by abuse of the American psyche.   We set out to make an ambitious movie for $36,000 in the cold and unpredictability of Chicago weather in March of 2007, and then the oppressive heat of over 120 degrees of Arizona in July.  At every turn it could have all fallen apart but because of the dedication of all the people involved we made a film we are all very proud of.  We hope you enjoy this documentary chronicling the remarkable experience of making a film about rage and hate, through love and compassion.
